FineArtStudioOnline.com (FASO) is a revolutionary web site creation tool that allows an artist to create his or her own website in a matter of minutes without any technical knowledge. We have teamed with FineArtStudioOnline to create a function in WorkingArtist that allows you to upload your artwork data along with the corresponding JPG image file from WorkingArtist to your FASO website.
You must have a FASO account to use the Upload to FineArtStudioOnline function in WorkingArtist. To view the FASO site, sign up for a free trial, create a FASO account, or get technical assistance for the FASO web site, please go to FineArtStudioOnline.com.
This Upload to FASO function is a Beta Version.
The Upload to FASO function is currently a Beta Version. This means that it is being tested by users and you may encounter errors or problems either on the WorkingArtist side or the FASO side.
--To report problems or errors on the WorkingArtist side, send email to support@WorkingArtist.com.
--To report problems or errors on the FASO side, log-in to your Artist Control Panel at FineArtStudioOnline.com and click on Contact Technical Support.
In either case, please report the exact error message you are getting and describe the steps you took to get the error.
Differences between data displayed in WorkingArtist and FASO.
1. WorkingArtist contains some fields that are not present in FASO. There are no fields in FASO that directly correspond to "Month", "Measure", "Add-On", "Add-On Label", "Alt Size", "Location", "Place", "Category", "Art1Fld", "Art2Fld" and "Art3Fld".
2. The WorkingArtist field "Status" corrolates to the FASO field "Availability".
3. WorkingArtist artwork records can display an alternate size. FASO will only display the "real" size.
4. During uploading, the WorkingArtist field "Subject" does not populate the FASO field "Subject". You will have to manually create a subject in FASO and enter it into artwork records.
5. The WorkingArtist field "Series" approximates to the FASO field "Collections". During uploading, the WorkingArtist field "Series" does not populate the FASO field "Collections". You will have to manually create a collection in FASO and enter it into artwork records.
6. FASO will only display records for one edition of the same multiple proof artwork record using the same image. In WorkingArtist, you can make an artwork record multiple edition. If you select more than one edition of the same multiple edition artwork record for uploading, FASO will only display the record last entered.

How to Upload your artwork to FASO
Creating the Upload Files and Connecting to FASO.
1. From the Main Switchboard, click on File and select "Upload to FineArtStudioOnline".
2. In the Select Artwork for Upload dialog screen, tag the artwork to be uploaded.
3. Click Save to create the two files needed for uploading to FASO: Upload.mdb and Upload.txt. These files are created in the WorkingArtist30 folder.
4. On the Connect to FineArtStudioOnline dialog, click on the "Log-in to FineArtStudioOnline.com" button.
Limitations when selecting artwork to upload to FASO.
1. You can select up to 40 artworks when creating the Upload files. If you select more, you will be prompted to de-select the excess over 40.
2. The image that you have linked to the artwork record must be a JPG image file. If you select artworks without an image or with a non-JPG image, you will be given the option to change the image type. If you do not change the image to a JPG image, the artwork record will be uploaded without an image.
3. At least one (but not all) of the selected artwork records must be linked to a JPG image file. If you select only artwork records without an image or with a non-JPG image, you will be prompted to change the artwork image of at least one artwork record.
4. Not all of the selected artwork records must be linked to a JPG image file. If you select artworks which do not have an image or a JPG image, you will be given the option to change selection. If you do not change the images, the artwork records will be uploaded without images.
5. FASO will only display records for one edition of the same multiple proof artwork record using the same image. In WorkingArtist, you can make an artwork record multiple edition. If you select more than one edition of the same multiple edition artwork record for uploading, FASO will only display the record last entered.
6. If you have marked an artwork in WorkingArtist to display an Alternate Size, FASO will only display the "real" size.
7. WorkingArtist creates two upload files: Upload.mdb and Upload.txt. These files, located in the WorkingArtist30 folder, contain the artwork data and JPG images from the artworks that you have selected. If you change the names of the Upload.mdb file or the Upload.txt file, FASO will not recognize them as upload files and you will not be able to upload them to FASO.
Uploading the Upload files at the FASO web site.
1. At the Log-In screen, enter your Account Number, User Name and Password to display the Control Panel.
2. Click on "My Artwork Portfolio" to display Portfolio Images.
3. Click on "Import From WorkingArtist".

Editing Data on the FASO Web Site.
As artworks sell or change price, you may wish to edit the data on the FASO web site. To do this, you can either:
1. Manually edit the data in the My Artwork Portfolio section of the FASO web site.
2. Create a new set of Upload files using the same artworks initially uploaded. The new Upload files, containing the new data, will overwrite the earlier Upload files. If there are changes in price or status etc, the new data will display on the FASO site.
For questions concerning the FASO web site, please log-in to your Artist Control Panel at http://www.FineArtStudioOnline.com and click on Contact Technical Support.
