#Q1026 - Exporting Patron Information to Outlook Express.

1. Go to Patrons form in WorkingArtist.

2. Click on the Reports button and select the Patrons Datasheet report. If you want only certain patrons, then first filter the patrons using the Apply Filter button or Adv Filter button--then run the Patrons Datasheet report against the filtered patrons.

3. On the Patrons Datasheet, click on the Excel button on the toolbar. This will export the data to Excel.

4. In Excel, delete the columns you don't want.

5. In Excel, delete the top row because it is header names.

6. Select FILE/SAVE AS and select the comma-delimited text file format (CSV). This will save the data in a CSV file. Save to a folder that you can easily locate.

7. Close Excel and WorkingArtist.

8. Open Outlook Express.

9. Select File/Import/Other Address Book.

10. In the Outlook Import Tool dialog, select Text File (Comma Separated Values) and click on the Import button.

11. In the Import dialog, click on the Browse button and locate the CSV file that you created in #6 above.

12. In the next dialog, CSV Import, map each text field to the address book field.

13. When you are done with the mapping, click the Finish button.
